Terms & Conditions
This website is operated by Richard’s Gallery. Where these terms and conditions use terms such as “we”, “us” and “our” they refer to Richard’s Gallery.
We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these terms and conditions, without prior notice to you, by posting updates on this page. It is your responsibility to check this page on each visit to your website, read these terms and conditions and ensure you understand them before making a purchase.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 days after receipt for a full refund or exchange, provided that:
i) The goods are returned in the same condition they were sold;
ii) The goods are a normal stock item;
iii) The goods are returned by a tracked method i.e. Recorded Delivery. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.
To cancel an order please contact us by email or telephone quoting your order number.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found here (opens in new window).
This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or mis-described.
These terms apply to your order, however, we reserve the right to change our terms and conditions at any time.
None of these terms affect your legal rights which are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, and it must be in the original packaging.
Some types of goods are exempt from being returned for a refund.
PLEASE NOTE:- Unless faulty, items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements are non-refundable.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you change your mind about a purchase you have made (i.e. the goods or services provided are not faulty) within 14 working days after the date of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund of the original purchase price for the goods or services you wish to return, not including the original postage and packaging charges made. You will not be entitled to a refund of the cost you incur in returning the item to us.
If the item you purchased was faulty or you think the item was not as described in the item description, please contact us first before requesting a refund as we may be able to resolve your problem to your satisfaction.
If the item you purchased was faulty and you would like a refund or exchange, you are entitled to a full refund of the original purchase price for the goods or services you wish to return, including the original postage and packaging charges made. Alternatively you may wish to exchange your items. We will refund the cost incurred in returning the items to us in the event of a faulty product.
Please send returns to:
Richard’s Gallery, 10 The Meadway, Horley, Surrey, RH6 9AN.
Where you would like to return a product you have purchased, please contact us to let us know that you will be returning the item. For your own protection, you are strongly advised to obtain a proof of posting when returning goods whatever the reason for the return. Goods which are returned to us but are lost in transit remain your responsibility. A proof of posting will assist you in tracking any return which is reported as lost, damaged, mislaid or otherwise undelivered/undeliverable.
Once your return is received and inspected we’ll contact you to let you know whether your refund will be processed or not, and credit your original method of payment.
If an item you purchased was purchased with a discount voucher, then we will only refund the amount that you paid (and not the amount the item was listed for).
If an item you purchased was in a sale then it may not be eligible for a refund if you have changed your mind. If you are in any doubt please contact us before making the purchase.
